If you have a dynamic IP address i.e. it changes and does not stay the same and you cannot get a static IP address from your ISP then please follow the instructions below:
We suggest noip.com as an example of a company that you can use there are others out there that can also do this. The instructions are based on the noip.com example. Please note that Noip.com is not an Easyspace company and is in no way affiliated to Easyspace.
-Sign up with them NoIp.com and order the basic free service.
- In your noip.com account set up a host name pointing to your current IP address of your home connection. The IP address of your connection can be found using noip.com tools supplied
- Download the checking software they provide from this link downloads
- Set up this software on your server so it checks the IP address of your connection and if it is different to the one on the host record with noip.com then it will automatically updated it with noIP.com
- On the domain name you will need to order the zone configuration service Help on zone records and set up two cnames on the service. One for www and pointing to the host name that you have created with noIP.com and also one with no www pointing to the same host name.
